Could the 76ers be on the market again? No, says Peter Luukko, the president of Comcast-Spectacor, which owns the team.

Last night, during games in the Las Vegas summer league, an NBA source said several people had told him that since June 15, the Sixers' owner was actively marketing the team. The source added that no potential buyers had surfaced.

Reached by phone last night, Luukko said there was no truth to the rumor.

"We're absolutely not marketing the team," Luukko said. "We're excited about the young players we have, and we're not selling."

The Sixers appeared headed for sale last year, but on Nov. 10, Comcast-Spectacor chairman Ed Snider said the company pulled the team off the market and would retain control of it.
