Suns All-Star Shawn Marion is leaning toward not participating in this summer's USA Basketball games due to foot pain.

Jerry Colangelo, managing director for the USA men's senior national team, said Marion told him recently that he has been bothered by plantar fasciitis The condition often involves pain in the heel's underside due to inflammation.

"He's been bothered by it, and it would be hard for him to participate in USA Basketball this summer," Colangelo said. "In all probability, he won't be playing."
