The Cavaliers and Anderson Varejao's agent Dan Fegan remain apart in negotiations, which could mean the Cavs may have to learn to live without Varejao, at least for awhile.

Until Varejao is signed, coach Mike Brown will continue to move ahead with the players he has.

Varejao's absence will mean more minutes for Donyell Marshall, Drew Gooden and Zydrunas Ilgauskas unless forward Cedric Simmons- acquired this summer in a trade with New Orleans - can get healthy and develop into a player worthy of extended playing time.
