Samuel Dalembert, coming back from a stress fracture in his left foot, made it through two weekend practices, seemingly significantly increasing the chances of him being available for Wednesday's season opener in Toronto.

He went though drills but no contact Saturday. He felt his level of optimism climbing, with the caveat of waiting to see how he would feel today.

"After that, everything is just . . . pray," said Dalembert, who revealed that he has grown to 267 pounds after weighing between 245 and 250 last season, when he was the only Sixer to start all 82 games.

"Hopefully, it doesn't get worse or be unbearable. Chances are good [to be ready against the Raptors]. I have to admit, I was surprised myself [yesterday]."
