The San Antonio Spurs announced today that forward Tim Duncan has signed a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy terms of the contract were not announced, but it was reported to be for an additional two seasons at $20 million per year.

The 6-11 Duncan was selected by San Antonio with the first pick in the 1997 NBA Draft. In his 10 seasons, Duncan has led the Spurs to four NBA Championships. Over the 10-year span San Antonio has posted a 559-229 regular season record, giving the team a winning percentage of .709, which is the best winning percentage in all of professional sports over the last decade.
