Caron Butler scored 29 points, Antawn Jamison had 28 and the Washington Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors, 101-97, Saturday night in a game in which each team was missing its best player.

Butler went 10-for-18 from the field and added seven assists. Jamison was 11-for-18 and had 14 rebounds for the Wizards, who shot 56%.

The Wizards retired Earl Monroe's No. 10 jersey at halftime. Monroe was drafted in 1967 by the Baltimore Bullets - the Wizards' predecessor - and played for the team until he was dealt to the Knicks in 1971. Monroe's jersey is the fourth to be retired by the franchise, joining Wes Unseld's No. 41, Elvin Hayes' No. 11 and Gus Johnson's No. 25. His No. 15 Knicks' jersey was retired in 1986.
