Tyrus Thomas had his say regarding his role in Wednesday night's skirmish with Pacers' forward Troy Murphy, speaking via phone with league personnel Thursday morning. The league office will make its decision Friday.

Skiles wouldn't be surprised by a one-game suspension.

"I don't blame Tyrus for the way he reacted," Skiles said. "It's one of those plays that happens when guys are competing."

Before his ejection at 3 minutes 51 seconds of the second quarter, Thomas was contributing his second straight energetic game.

"I don't really know how they're going to judge it," Thomas said. "Hopefully, it's not anything too harsh. But consequences are consequences."
