Forward Ike Diogu, out since Nov. 6 with a torn left calf, has been cleared to practice.

"It was real tough sitting out because I got off to a good start," Diogu said. "I'm antsy to get back out there but not too antsy because I want to get healed."

Don't expect to see Diogu in the lineup at Miami tonight or Monday at New York because Pacers' Coach Jim O'Brien said they don't plan to play him until he's in game shape, which is similar to what they did with Jermaine O'Neal earlier.

"It means they can go up and down and do all the things that are expected of our big guys, run at full speed and catch at full speed," O'Brien said. "When he's ready to do that, he'll be in uniform."
