Stephon Marbury, whose fallout with Isiah Thomas has been well-documented, spoke openly about the potential to be traded on Friday.

"I love playing basketball in New York, but I'm not no fool," he said. "This is a business, period. That's all it is and that's all it's ever going to be . . . If I get traded, I get traded."

Marbury's contract is a hefty one at $21 million next season, but it's also an expiring one, which has value to a franchise looking to clear some cap room in the near future. A trade might mean a shot at a championship if he goes to the right team.

"I would love to be in a situation where I'm going to be able to win a championship," he said. "I don't think anyone wouldn't want to be in that situation."
