Larry Brown showed interest in the head coaching position with the Cleveland Cavaliers through intermediaries, according to a source that spoke with Brian Windhorst of the Akron Beacon-Journal.

On January 14th, current Head Coach Mike Brown was given a two-year extension that takes him through the 2010-2011 season.

Larry Brown nearly became team president of the Cavaliers in 2005 despite still being head coach of the Detroit Pistons.
