The Nets and Mavericks are close to agreeing on a multi-player trade for Jason Kidd, according to a report from Marc Stein of ESPN.

Sources say that the deal has not been finalized but could be imminent.

The Mavericks would send Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSegana Diop, Devean George, and another player such as Maurice Ager to New Jersey for Kidd and possibly forward Malik Allen or veteran guard Darrell Armstrong.

Dallas may also send $3 million and one or two draft picks to New Jersey.

Sources say the Mavericks are more concerned about sacrificing depth than losing Harris.
