Marc Stein of ESPN.com is reporting that Mavericks forward Devean George has exercised his right to veto a trade to the Nets, putting the brakes on the blockbuster deal involving Jason Kidd.

The deal was agreed upon by both New Jersey and Dallas, but George informed the team just before they submitted the deal to the NBA that he wouldn't agree to the move.

His one-year contract includes a rare provision that allows him to veto any trade he's involved in.
