Nets president Rod Thorn said on Tuesday that he knew Jason Kidd's head and heart weren't in New Jersey anymore, according to the New York Daily News.

When asked at what point he thought the point guard's mind left the team Thorn told the Daily News, "sometime in December."

"Over his first six years here, he certainly was the focal point of the resurgence of the Nets. No one was more competitive, no one played with more fire," Thorn added. "I choose to look at this year as an aberration. Things weren't the same. The team wasn't doing as well. He was disenchanted with the team and it led to this."
