Rick Carlisle's agent has told the Dallas Morning News that the agreement between his client and the Dallas Mavericks should be completed today and that Carlisle should be announced as the team's new coach on Friday.

"We're headed for a successful landing, I believe, in the next day or so," agent Warren LeGarie said.
