The Utah Jazz survived a late surge by the Los Angeles Lakers in Game Three on Friday night and handed Kobe Bryant and Co. their first loss, 104-99, of the postseason.

Carlos Boozer dominated with 27 points and 20 rebounds and Deron Williams added 18 points and 12 assists for the Jazz, who shot 50% from the field and forced 18 Los Angeles turnovers.

Mehmet Okur added 22 points and 7 rebounds in the win, as Utah used a 29-20 second quarter to grab hold of an early lead.

The Lakers cut the lead to four in the final minute, but couldn't convert on a bevy of offensive opportunities.

Kobe Bryant led L.A. with 34 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds, but he got little help other than from Lamar Odom.

Odom posted 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Pau Gasol was limited with 12 points (6-for-10), 6 rebounds and a dismal five turnovers.

Both benches notched nineteen points in the game.

The Lakers did attempt nine more free throws than Utah, but they went a horrid 5-for-23 from behind the three-point line.

Game Four will be Sunday afternoon in Utah as the Jazz look to even up the semifinal series.
