Danny Ainge has already admitted that the Celtics will be over the luxury tax threshold for the 2008-09 season, according to The Boston Globe.
The NBA champions were also over the league-mandated mark this season.
Their payroll is projected to be $71 million, including their first-round pick, which will make $797,600. They will also have to make decisions on free agents Eddie House and James Posey.
