Guard Javaris Crittenton averaged nearly twenty minutes per game for the Grizzles last season but hasn't been getting much playing time this preseason.

"I definitely didn't expect it to be going this way," Crittenton admitted.

Until he played 27 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday, he had hardly played for the Grizzles this month. Many roster changes this summer appear to have forced Crittenton out of the rotation, at least momentarily.

"A lot of stuff isn't in my control right now so I just have to be patient," Crittenton said. "When I wake up, I just know I'm going to come in and get better."

Memphis general manager Chris Wallace said that no trade involving Crittenton is imminent, although a trade is always a possibilty.
