Clippers' center Marcus Camby is starting to fall in love with his new team after an unceremonious departure from the Nuggets.

"I would say it's like a long breakup from your high school sweetheart," Camby said Thursday. "It takes time to get over it 'til you get on to your next girlfriend and a new situation."

Los Angeles acquired Camby from Denver for next-to-nothing this summer.

"I guess the Clippers are my next girlfriend," he joked. "So I'm falling in love again, falling in love with L.A.

"At first, everybody was making a deal about be being out there and what I said initially when I got traded. Yeah, I said it, that's how I felt. But that was two months ago. Now I'm in a situation where I'm with a great coach, a great organization, a great group of guys."
