Knicks' rookie Danilo Gallinari will miss at least a month of action and perhaps more, after receiving a cortisone shot in his troublesome back.

New York said Friday that Gallinari will continue to seek more opinions on treatment.

He had a second cortisone shot on Thursday, and although surgery isn't out of the question, doctors do not believe he needs to go under the knife.

"We hope sooner than later he will be back," Coach Mike D'Antoni said. "We had this discussion two months ago, so obviously I'm not an expert on it.

"I don't know if he will be great in January or not playing at all."
