The Oklahoma City Thunder have fired head coach P.J. Carlisemo after the team started their first season away from Seattle 1-12, according to a report published on Sports Illustrated.

Citing a report which appeared on Yahoo! Sports, Thunder GM Sam Presti informed Carlesimo of his decision before the team boarded a flight to New Orleans. On Friday night, as part of a home-and-home with the Hornets, the Thunder (1-12) fell 105-80 in front of their home fans.

Scott Brooks has agreed to take over the coaching role on an interim basis.
