Allen Iverson had a happy homecoming as his Detroit Pistons defeated the Nuggets in Denver, the Associated Press is reporting.

It is Iverson's first trip back ton Denver and the first time that he or Chauncey Billups have faced their former teams since the pair were dealt for each other back in November.

Billups scord 30 points in the game while Iverson led the Pistons with 23 - including 20 in the second half - as Detroit won 93-90.

"It was emotional being that I had so many memories here. I felt like this was going to be the place that I would finish my career," he said. "I felt good about my chances of winning my championship here.

"I felt like I was at home. It didn't feel like it was a road game."
