The Portland Trail Blazers are officially back on the hook for the remaining $18 million left on Darius Miles' contract after the Memphis forward played in his 10th game - including preseason - this season.
Miles was previously a long-term injury waiver, meaning that his salary could be excluded from Portland's luxury tax payments. With $9 million going back onto their tax this year and another $9 million next, the Blazers are now over the tax threshold and could miss out on a maximum salary free agent.
Miles finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in 14 minutes.
