The trade deadline is less than a month away, but the Pistons aren't expected to pull the trigger on a major trade.

"We will be open until the trade deadline," team president Joe Dumars said. "We won't shut it off and say there's no possible way we can make a move. I don't think you can do that."

Detroit might look for help off the bench, but they already agreed on one blockbuster trade this season when they sent Chauncey Billups to Denver for Allen Iverson.

"You can look at your team and feel you have a need for one more piece, but unless you can get that specific piece, it doesn't make sense to just go out and make a deal," Dumars said. "It would have to be a specific piece."
