The Grizzles have lost seven consecutive games, but head coach Lionel Hollins says that the team is still working hard.

"The spirit is still there," Hollins said. "It's much better than when I took over. There's different phases and steps you go through. When I came, the spirit was real low. We got the spirit up. Now we're going through adversity and they have to learn to deal with that. They have to learn how to keep working no matter what the situation is."

Hakim Warrick concurred with his coach, defending against the notion that the team has quit on the season.

"We're definitely not quitting," Warrick said. "We'll definitely continue to compete and not quit. The whole atmosphere has changed, and we're doing a lot more towards becoming a winning team. That's something that starts in practice. We've stepped it up a notch in terms of putting work in."

Memphis is 4-11 under Hollins, and 15-44 on the season.
