Tests performed on Allen Iverson's ailing back Friday went well, and he will undergo more examination on Saturday.

"The test today was good," coach Michael Curry said. "Hopefully (today's) tests will be good, too. If both are good, then maybe we can start the process of getting him back doing stuff with Arnie (Kander, Pistons physical therapist). That's what he's hoping for and that's what we're hoping for."

Iverson has been out since Feb. 26 and even if Saturday's tests go well, he's still at least a week away from returning to the court.

"He's been in pain and that's been magnified by the uncertainty of what's wrong," Curry said. "If these test show that there's no major problem with his back, then he will know that he's just dealing with pain and soreness and no major injury. I think that will speed up his progress."
