Washington center Brendan Haywood made his season debut on Wednesday night, the Associated Press is reporting.

Haywood had been out since injuring his wrist in preseason practice last October.  He ended up finishing with two points, two rebounds and three blocks in 24 minutes of action.

"That was a luxury we've definitely been missing all year," Antawn Jamison said of Haywood. "Just his presence in the paint on both ends of the floor means a lot.

The Wizards, however, did not play Gilbert Arenas.  Arenas had played in his first game this season on Saturday, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds, but the Wizards did not want to risk their star guard in back to back games.
