Wizards forward Antawn Jamison had successful surgery to remove a bone spur from his right ankle on Thursday, according to the Washington Post.

Jamison, who will turn 33 next month, played in 81 games this season before feeling discomfort in the previously injured ankle on April 13 in a loss to the Raptors.

At the conclusion of the regular season, Jamison said that he hoped to avoid surgery.
