James Harden worked out for the Grizzlies recently and wants to make it known that he isn't just a scorer.

"In a game situation I can help a team a lot because of all the things I can do," Harden told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "I'm not just a scorer. I'm trying to come in and do other things like being a good defender and handling the ball."

Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace is impressed with Harden's ability to score.

"He's a terrific scorer ... a very difficult player to guard in college because of his size, variety of shots and his ability to draw contact," Wallace said.

What Wallace really likes is that Harden can score in a variety of different ways.

"He's a guy not always looking to dunk the ball and make the spectacular play at the rim," Wallace said. "He'll sort of size you up a bit. ... He does remind of that guy you're used to seeing down at the (YMCA). He has that knack for scoring the ball and keeping defenders off balance."
