Jason Williams worked out for the Grizzlies on Monday and the chances of a return to Memphis appear to have increased.

"He looks in great shape," owner Michael Heisley said of the 33-year-old point guard. "I think Jason still has a lot to offer."

Williams hasn't signed a deal with the Grizzlies, but the club is believed to want the guard on a short-term, minimum-salary contract.

The Knicks and Magic are believed to be talking with Williams as well, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

"He owes it to his family and himself to try to find a better offer. If he doesn't, we're interested. But I'm not going to discuss the contract," Heisley said.
