The Pistons could put both Ben Wallace and Kwame Brown in the starting lineup to begin the season.

"We still have a lot more preseason to go -- we've got two weeks," coach John Kuester told the Detroit Free-Press. "There are a number of challenges ahead of us to see how this all plays out. There are so many guys deserving of time, so it's been challenging that way."

The pairing of Brown and Wallace together in the paint would form a dynamic defensive duo for Detroit, but the team's offense could take a hit.

"I think you've got to have a mind-set going into the season that we've got to defend to be successful," Kuester said. "Ben has had some outstanding practices where he's really felt very comfortable on the offense. He already knew it ahead of time, and Kwame has really stepped up and played extremely well."
