The Warriors hoped to reduce Corey Maggette's minutes this season, but the injury to Brandan Wright has ruined their plans.

"Now, I'm going to have to play him more than I probably want to," coach Don Nelson told the Contra Costa Times. "He's been terrific. It's just that you worry about him getting hurt. He has a history of not playing enough games in a season."

Maggette, who missed 31 games last season with a variety of ailments, averaged 31.1 minutes per game in 2008-09.

He insists that he feels healthy and is ready to play serious minutes this season.

"It's really nice of Nellie to try and serve (my needs)," Maggette said, "But I've done this before. Players get banged up sometimes. This summer, I worked hard on trying to stay healthy and do the right things, and I'm going to have faith that God will keep me healthy this whole season."
