Magic guard Vince Carter sprained his ankle on Friday night, but is going to try to play Sunday.

The game isn't just any one for Carter as the Magic will face the Raptors, the team he played with for the first six-plus seasons of his NBA career.

"It's OK," he told the Orlando Sentinel of the ankle. "We'll see how it feels in the morning. I hate missing games. I hope to be back. It feels good walking on it."

Carter hasn't practiced with the team as he undergoes treatment on the ankle.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said J.J. Redick would start if he can't go.
