Warriors forward Stephen Jackson says at the root of his trade request is a strong desire to win.
"I'm not going back on anything I've said," Jackson said on Wednesday. "I still feel the same way. The fact is I want to win. I'm 31 years old and I'm not getting any younger. I want to make the best of my last couple of years."
Jackson made his initial request in August and the saga has dragged into the regular season.
"Y'all know me. I just want to win," Jackson said. "That's always been my attitude and anytime winning is not a priority or not the main idea on everybody's mind, it bothers me. All my frustration since I've been in the league comes from not winning.
"I had a great year my first year. It seems like ever since then, the team has been breaking up and we've been going downhill. I want it to be the same team that it was when I got here. I don't want it to continue to get worse."
