Bobcats coach Larry Brown believes that the 76ers should offer free-agent guard Allen Iverson a guaranteed contract.

Philadelphia offered Iverson a one-year, non-guaranteed deal on Tuesday.

"That upsets me a little bit," said Brown. "I get worried about the message (that sends), personally, but I admire Philly for giving him that chance."

Brown coached Iverson for several years with the 76ers.

"Every time he's played there, that building is full," Brown said. "I know if he plays (there again), people will come out because he always gives that effort."
