76ers forward Marreese Speights believes that he might return sooner than expected from a partially torn left MCL.

Speights said on Monday night that he ran sprints earlier in the day after taking part in a shooting drill during practice Sunday, the first day he was cleared to run.

"It feels great," he said. "I think I might be a little ahead of schedule."

He suffered the injury on Nov. 14 against the Bulls and was projected to miss six to eight weeks.

Speights was averaging 13 points and 6.4 rebounds per game before the injury.
