Celtics guard Ray Allen became the 32nd player in NBA history to score 20,000 points in his career on Thursday night.

Allen hit a three-pointer with 4:44 to play in the third quarter of Boston's win over Washington to reach the milestone.

He came into the game needing 14 points to eclipse the 20,000-point mark and finished with 18 points on 5-for-11 shooting.
