Pacers coach Jim O'Brien doesn't think Celtics reserve Marquis Daniels will have an issue working himself back into the mix following surgery.

"Marquis has a high basketball IQ," O'Brien told reporters prior to Tuesday night's game between the Pacers and Celtics in Boston, where he once coached. "He won't have a problem reacclimating himself."

Daniels is expected to return from thumb surgery around the All-Star break.

He spent three seasons in Indiana before signing with Boston as a free agent this past offseason.

The guard is averaging 5.7 points and 2.1 assists per game this season.
