Lakers forward Ron Artest has been cleared to participate in practice with his teammates on Monday.

Artest missed his fifth straight game on Sunday night in the wake of a concussion suffered when he fell at his home on Christmas night.

Lakers head coach Phil Jackson said he was "hopeful" Artest would be ready for Tuesday's game against Houston, but the forward wasn't as optimistic.

"No, I don't think [Tuesday's] realistic," he said. "It can be, but I doubt it. I don't think so, but I hope so."
