The Nets appear to be on the verge of cutting troubled forward Sean Williams.

New Jersey and Dallas are prepared to complete a deal that would send Eduardo Najera to the Mavericks in exchange for Kris Humphries and Shawne Williams.

In order to finish the deal, New Jersey will have to cut a player and Williams appears to be the one.

New Jersey is also likely to buy out the contract of Shawne Williams in the coming days.
