Dwayne Jones and Marcus Williams of the Austin Toros were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played during the week of March 22 when the Toros recorded a 4-0 record.  The award is the second for Jones and the first for Williams this season.

Jones, 6-11, 250-pounds, recorded four double-doubles last week in home wins over the Springfield Armor and Bakersfield Jam.  He scored more than 20 points in three games, including a 27-point outing on March 28 in a 122-110 win over the Jam in Austin.  For the week, Jones averaged 21.0 points, shooting 54 percent (26-of-48) from the field to go with 14.8 rebounds.  An NBA D-League All-Star, Jones is averaging 17.6 points (10th in the NBA D-League) on 60 percent shooting (264-of-442, 2nd in the NBA D-League) to go with a league-leading 16.0 rebounds in 46 games this season.

Williams, 6-7, 210-pounds, re-joined the Toros last week and scored more than 20 points in all four of the team?s games.  He scored a season-high 29 points on March 24 in a 118-89 win over Springfield.  For the week, Williams averaged 25.3 points, connecting on 61 percent from the field, to go with 5.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
