"The Orlando Magic are holding a news conference with the NBA and Orange County and City of Orlando officials today to announce that the new Amway Center will host the 2012 NBA All-Star Game."

The new Amway Center will open this October.

This news comes as no surprise as it had been expected that Orlando would be awarded an All-Star Game if a new arena was built.
