The Suns are enjoying a week-long hiatus before the start of the Western Conference Finals against the Lakers.

Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry says the extra time off could allow center Robin Lopez to play in the series.

"He looks a little bit better," Gentry said on Tuesday. "We've got basically six more days so we feel good about his progress continuing so that I think he'll be able to play."

Lopez has been out since March 28 with a back injury. He scrimmaged on Tuesday in the team's first practice since eliminating the Spurs in the semifinals.

The Suns will open up their matchup with the Lakers on Monday night.
