Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo downplayed the muscle spasms that sent him to the locker room early in the first half of Game 4 against the Magic on Monday night.

"I'm fine, I just didn't play well," Rondo said after the game, which Orlando won in overtime to keep the Eastern Conference Finals going.

Rondo had three first-half fouls when he retreated to the locker room with Boston's strength and conditioning coach with 1:16 left in the second quarter.

"I didn't even know [about Rondo retreating to the locker room]," coach Doc Rivers said after the game. "I knew early on he said he was fatigued. He told, I think [trainer] Eddie [Lacerte] and maybe when he went in, that was the spasms he was talking about. Honestly, I didn't check. When I came in at halftime, he said he was good."

In the second half, Rondo struggled to fight through screens on the defensive end.
