Larry Brown is preparing for next season in Charlotte and is leaning towards coaching the Bobcats for a third season, a source told the Associated Press.

Brown has been at Time Warner Cable Arena this week and is expected to be present on Friday when the Bobcats work out a number of rookie prospects.

He declined to commit to the team after Charlotte was swept by Orlando in the first round of the postseason.

Brown's name was linked to the Philadelphia job before Doug Collins took it and the Clippers, Bulls and Cavaliers are still looking for a coach as well.
