The Celtics will be without starting center Kendrick Perkins in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Lakers on Thursday night.

Perkins tore two ligaments in his knee in Game 6 on Tuesday night.

"He's not gonna go," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said.

Perkins, who was walking on crutches, said that he would have missed the season had he suffered the injury back in December.

"I haven't decided," Rivers said of who will start in place of Perkins. "We'll just wait until tomorrow."
