Derrick Rose said last week that he'd love to see the team sign free-agent swingman Tracy McGrady.

However, after Chicago met with McGrady earlier this week it became apparent that they wouldn't be adding the veteran to their roster.

Rose said that he wasn't disappointed by the decision.

"No, not really," Rose said. "Like I said before anything, I'm cool with the team I have right now. I think we have good youth on the team. We should be all right.

"If [McGrady] comes or if he doesn't, we should be able to compete out there. That's up to the Bulls."

Regardless of the decision on McGrady, Rose didn't hide his displeasure about new coach Tim Thibodeau's decision to let assistant coach Pete Myers go.

"It hurts a little bit, but he should be somewhere around," Rose said. "Pete is a guy, if it wasn't for him, I don't know where I'd be in this league. He's always there and brings a lot to the organization."

Myers is expected to take a job in Chicago's front office.
