The Rockets have offered free-agent center Erick Dampier a two-year, $4 million contract, according to a source.

Dampier was waived by the Bobcats on Tuesday and is being courted by the Grizzlies and Heat as well.

Houston is also believed to be in talks with Utah restricted free-agent Kyrylo Fesenko.

"We're happy with our group, but we're constantly looking at good players if they become available," general manager Daryl Morey said.

"There are some bigs that might be available. Mr. (Leslie) Alexander has approved spending money, but anything happening would be a long shot."
