LeBron James sat out of Thursday's practice due to a sore right leg.

"He's feeling better," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It's more precautionary, so he can play the back-to-back."

"Spo would rather have me 100 percent for the game," said James after shooting briefly with teammate Dwyane Wade following practice. "But if it was a case where I needed to be in practice, I definitely could have practiced."

James warned not to overstate the discomfort.

"It's a deep shin bruise right now, where every time you kind of flex your foot, it kind of flares up," he said. "So we're doing everything possible to get me back to 100."
