Less than two weeks after agreeing to terms on a contract, the Rockets and free-agent center Erick Dampier decided not to sign the deal.

Houston's slow start makes the short-term move no longer appealing to either the team or the veteran.

The Rockets had reached an agreement with Dampier on a one-year deal Oct. 29.
