Billy Hunter says the likelihood of decertifying the union is "pretty far off," according to a New York Times report.
The executive director of the NBA Players Association claims that decertification is just an option available in case of a lockout, but there is "nothing immediate."
Players from at least two teams have voted unanimously to authorize decertification, according to a report by the Sports Business Journal.
Doing so would could allow the players to sue the NBA if it attempted to impose a lockout when the collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30.
